Interior Design in Malibu
Serving 90265 · 90263 and Pacific Palisades, Topanga, Calabasas
Interior design in Malibu has one advantage no inland city offers and one constraint that follows straight from it. The light and the outlook do a great deal of the work. The same ocean air is unforgiving about materials, hardware and finishes chosen for a showroom rather than a coastline.
Real projects. Real prices.
73 finished remodels published with their final price — nothing hidden.
What our finished LA work actually cost: 27 kitchens ran $23k–$84k, median $50k; 28 bathrooms $28k–$105k, median $38k; 17 whole-home remodels $36k–$440k, median $150k. Real final prices from our own job records, not estimates.
$30,000 A deep navy wall over textured white tile, with a floating walnut vanity and matte black fittings.

$60,000 Traditional shaker cabinetry with encaustic tile accents and a warm-wood island.
$65,000 White uppers over grey shaker lowers with brass pulls, an apron sink and a broad quartz peninsula.
$238,000 A walnut-fronted quartz island, arched openings, and sage-green stacked tile baths.
$275,000 A broad quartz island, a curved staircase with iron balusters, marble-look baths.
Designing for light, salt and a long view
Let the outlook lead
Where a house has a view and strong natural light, the most effective interiors tend to compete with neither. Restraint reads as confidence here in a way it does not in a house with nothing to look at.
Specify for the air, not the photograph
Metal finishes, fixings and exterior-adjacent hardware age differently within sight of the ocean. Choosing for the environment at specification stage costs nothing and avoids replacing details that were never going to last here.
Design and build under one roof
We design and build in-house, which matters most when a drawing meets a real wall. Nobody hands the problem to somebody else's contractor to solve.
Sand, damp and what survives it
Floors here take sand, damp towels and bare feet all year. Choosing surfaces that tolerate that keeps a house looking cared for rather than tired, and it narrows the material list usefully rather than restrictively.
