Kitchen Remodeling in Agoura Hills
Serving 91301 and Oak Park, Westlake Village, Calabasas
Agoura Hills contains two quite different kitchen projects inside one 91301 boundary. On the valley floor there are 1960s-to-80s tract houses whose kitchens are efficient, closed and thoroughly of their decade. Up in the hills there are custom houses where the kitchen is often a large, individually designed room that has never quite been finished to the standard the architecture implied. The city reviews both through its own Building & Safety Division, and the design approach for each should be as different as the houses are.
Real projects. Real prices.
73 finished remodels published with their final price — nothing hidden.
What 27 finished LA kitchens actually cost: a median of $50k, in a range of $23k–$84k. Real final prices from our own job records, not estimates.
$34,800 White uppers over warm grey shaker lowers, white quartz, and a stainless chimney hood.
$38,000 Emerald shaker cabinetry and brass hardware around a cream range and an apron sink.
$60,000 Traditional shaker cabinetry with encaustic tile accents and a warm-wood island.
$63,500 White cabinetry with brushed-gold hardware, a white-oak island, and a marble-look slab backsplash.
$72,000 White shaker cabinetry against a deep teal backsplash, with an island under a stainless hood.
$84,000 Warm grey shaker cabinetry with quartz counters, plus floating vanities in dark stone tile.
Kitchens between the valley and the mountains
Tract kitchen or custom kitchen
A tract kitchen usually wants a wall removed, a real island and full-height storage. A custom kitchen in the hills usually wants the opposite kind of attention: fewer, better decisions, made to match an architecture that already has a strong point of view. Applying the wrong approach wastes both.
A window onto chaparral and rock
Houses toward the mountains look at genuinely dramatic country. Where a kitchen faces it, the glazing deserves to be sized for the view rather than for ventilation, and where it does not, moving the working core to gain that outlook is often the best money in the project.
Heat, sun and a hard-working room
Summer here is hot and the light is strong. Orientation-aware glazing, real extraction and a check on whether the existing mechanical system can carry a modern appliance list are practical kitchen decisions in this climate, not upgrades.
The city's own permit path
Plan check, permits and inspections run through the City of Agoura Hills Building & Safety Division from the city offices on Ladyface Court. It is a right-sized department: close enough to know the stock, predictable when the submittal is complete.
