Anything touching exterior appearance, height or footprint deserves a second look inside the coastal zone. Interior finishes and layout rarely do. Knowing which side of that line a decision falls on is worth more than any mood board.
Specifying for salt air
Metal finishes, fixings and exterior-adjacent hardware behave differently within sight of the water. That is a specification decision made at design stage rather than a maintenance problem inherited later.
